Wrong on more counts

Why is Gloat anonymous? (Cowards AND bullies, that's what I say).
There are MANY true, legal, legitimate and caring societies, almost exclusively volunteer, that care for animals. That damn SPCA arrogance again. AAS is not destroying the SPCA, the SPCA is doing that all by itself. Regarding changes, the SPCA has always been "going to" make changes. We would love it if you would make positive changes. But instead, you spend more time and energy trying to cover up the fact that you are not making changes for the better. You spend a lot of money trying to silence your critics, instead of trying to learn something from us.
I always get a financial break from the vets for my rescued animals, and I always pay my bills. It's a two way street.
I can't count the number of times people have told me that the SPCA does not respond to calls, night or day. In Vancouver you can't get through to them, and here, well, you can leave a message on a pager, but as to getting a call back, maybe, maybe not, and in their own words, "We're not a taxi service."
It would never even occur to me to call the SPCA for an emergency of ANY kind. I call the vet, and I take action.
Where are you from, Gloat? The SPCA does NOT pick up the bill for animals taken to emergency clinics at night unless it is for some very sellable animal.
