Yes, Elizabeth we little rescuers are scrambling daily to find solutions to many different problems that develop for animals that the SPCA used to help with.
The Society I am with is spending over $4000 a month helping animals in Victoria.
Can we afford it?
No, our donations are no where near that.
Why are we doing it?
Because otherwise healthy, adoptable animals will either die or be born to die.
The SPCA in Victoria for a short time (about a year and a half under the previous President)used to be pro-active, had a spay/neuter program the public could access and actually helped the communities animals.
Now, the main question I get asked is " What does the SPCA do?"
I really wish I had an answer.
