The SPCA has abused its statutory powers over and over by seizing healthy, happy animals and yet it had to be forced by an angry neighbour with a video camera to seize one severely mistreated pup. Who's in charge of this free-for-all?

The SPCA has brutally mistreated many of the animals it seizes, even killing many. It returns seized animals to owners whose conditions were as bad as the conditions Jiji was kept in, after it is paid huge sums of money by the owners.

The SPCA seems to be controlled by what works for the media, not by policies that anyone can know or even guess. All over BC, animals are being subjected to abuse by the SPCA. Many SPCA seizures are illegal and unlawful, whether a judge has understood that or not.
