Winds The Concern Tonight
Winds are the concern for Fire Watchers tonight with Environment Canada calling for gusts up to 30 km/h. However, officials say that for the time being that the fire activity remains at a low level and there has been no further spread today. Winds are expected to die down as the evening progresses. There is a 60% chance of showers.

The emergency social service center at the Westbank Community Center has been closed as of the lifting of the Evacuation Orders this afternoon. It will reopen again if another Evacuation Order is issued. Residents will have re-register should an another Evacuation Order be issued.

Evacuation Alerts remain in effect for the following residents:

Rosewood Drive, Roseabbey Drive, Rosefield Drive, Rosealee Court, Rosealee Lane, Rosealea Road, Rosemeadow Drive, Rosetree Road, Pettman Road, Bowes Road, and Bartley Road north of Stevens Road, Lenz Road, and Parkinson Road from Griffiths Place north to Bear Creek Road, Dougmac Road, Petterson Road and Rose Valley Road, north of the Rose Valley Reservoir

These residents are advised to prepare for evacuation, pack valuable items such as medications and documents, ensure all family members and pets are safe and accounted for.
