All I can say is that this is sad, sad, sad. There are so many needy animals out there who need help and ever since it was revealed that an SPCA CEO was making over $200,000 a year, I have never trusted where the money went.
There are still animals leaving the SPCA's doors not spayed and neutered in BC. There is still a huge need for spay and neuter clinics for those who cannot afford to fix their animals in various areas in BC. There is so much that needs to be done....I think the SPCA is its own worst enemy by continuing to allow people to sell dogs in whatever way they choose, to sell animals to people willy-nilly (no checks on the people, not a lot of follow up or help after adoption), and to not offer spay and neuter clinics.
