It takes my breath away that the SPCA has not, according to Jean Martin, been in touch with Stephanie Walker re the tortured cats in Nanaimo.
Thank God there are people like Stephanie Walker in Nanaimo to care for these cats!
The SPCA yet again appears to think of cats as disposable.
My elderly friend told me that she saw Stephanie Walker on TV this morning talking about the tortured cats. E. noticed Stephanie particularly
as, although they have never met, Stephanie took in two of E's ferals, when E. became too frail to care for them.
"What is the SPCA doing about this?" my friend asked and answered, "Nothing, just like all the times before."
E. knows, because small rescues have come to her aid consistently through the years, while all the SPCA did was euthanize all the cats that her home support worker brought in, while telling E. that the cats would go to good homes.
E. is writing out a cheque to Stephanie, and I say "Hallelujah!" as too many people will hear about the tortured cats, and send off money to the SPCA - on the ASSUMPTION that the SPCA is doing something.
