Yes, I do have a backup plan- every time a new animal arrives or departs my house I am sure to alter my arrangements accordingly. I carry a written copy of my contacts in the event of my death or hospitalization with me every place I go. However, these are not people I call on any time I need "a break". That's not how it works. My plan is for true emergencies only- it is not for when my furry family becomes inconvenient. I made the decision to take them in, they are my responsibility. The intention of my questioning is to try to get you to put yourself in another person's shoes before you pass judgement on them.
I still have 2 questions though- you didn't answer as to whether the SPCA would fire you for posting on message boards. Also, why is it that you are allowed to say no to taking in people's cast off animals , yet you have spent a great deal of time criticizing me for saying that I believe it is alright to say no to people who are trying to dump animals on people like us? Please explain the difference between you saying no and me saying no.
