You shouldn't beleive everything you read in the papers

It is unfortunate that Maggie Calloway, President of the Fraser Valley Humane Society, jumps to conclusions without understanding the essential facts of a situation. Is she really so foolish that she believes everything printed in a newspaper?

I was quoted in an article written about Goldendoodles. I spent an hour with the reporter and she used two or three sentences from our lengthly discussion. And I did say that Goldendoodles are the "newest, sexiest, yuppie dog" because I believe it is true.

What the reporter did not print is that our wonderful dog Marquez was a rescue dog who was about to be put down before my wife and I saved her.

What the reporter did not print is that Marquez spent four weeks at a humane society outside of Toronto before we adopted her.

What the reporter did not print is that Marquez has become such an integral part of our lives that I bring her to work with me each day so that she hardly spends any time alone.

What the reporter did not print is that after we rescued Marquez, my wife and I made a substantial donation to a pet charity.

Only a fool passes judgment without understand the facts. Shame on you Ms. Calloway. Hip you are not. Carrot-brained you are.
