I had been supporting the SPCA for many many years. I was given my first membership card when I was 16.

It was an advert of yours of a chained dog that I saw at the same time I learnt of the amount of money the head of the SPCA was making and making his own raises when it hit the papers and the radio and TV news.

I was furious as I expected the management to have a heart for the animals who they were trusted to care for by thousands upon thousands of people. To violate that trust was unforgivable and I lost trust in and respect for them.

After watching the programs on Animal Planet and seeing the work they do, and the many things accepted here that are not tolerated elsewehre is so sad. Hopefully one day the SPCA will become conscious of the fact that God gave us dominion over not dominance over the animals and they are in that line of work to care for them, not have an expensive private life style. But then they will have to answer to God for it some day. He loves His creatures deeply and made 3 covenants with them, not a fact to toy with.
