[centre]The Little Bum That Couldn’t – The story of Chiquita

Some of you may have read my story about my rescue dog, Sarah. Well Sarah has her own rescued cat named Chiquita. And this is her story.

A woman brought me a litter of five orphaned kittens. They were five weeks old. Four of the five kittens had been born without a tail. She handed me Chiquita who was the smallest one, and told me that she was very demanding and wouldn’t stop crying. When I held Chiquita in my hand I could feel her bones. I put her down on the floor and realized that she had some problems. She didn’t walk like a normal cat, her little legs wobbled side to side. When she ran, she hopped like a bunny. I knew then, that she was going to be special. Chiquita is the littlest one on the right.
