The vet took one look at Chiquita and told me that she should be put down right away *PIC*

Where her tail and anus should be, there was a gapping hole, and fecal matter just ran out. I rushed her to the vet hoping to hear about a miracle operation that they could perform. The vet took one look at Chiquita and told me that she should be put down right away, that she would have no quality of life and would die soon anyway. I looked at the vet with defiance in my eyes, wrapped Chiquita up in her blanket, put her in my bra (to keep her warm) and drove home with her. I cried all the way home. I just couldn’t accept that there was nothing that could be done to help her.

I called a lady at my Church and asked her to get the ladies in her Bible group to pray for, well…..a little door for Chiquita’s bottom. They had never had a request like that before, but they agreed. While I was waiting for my miracle, I sewed little diapers for Chiquita and she became my baby. The dogs let me know when her diaper needed to be changed and I was wash her and put on diaper cream. It was easy to do this while she was so small, but I wouldn’t allow myself to think about how it would be when she was older.
