My mom phoned the Vancouver SPCA and the Burnaby SPCA

Yesterday I phoned the Vancouver SPCA that my mom is moving and needs a home for her 6 year old cat. The female employee asked if she'd tried on her own. I said yes, that she's asked friends etc. She then went on to say that Van. was full and that I could try the Burnaby SPCA or Action for Animals in Distress. Gave me the nos. She said if I had no luck to phone back a few days in advance of the moving date so my mom wouldn't be stuck at the last minute.

The Burnaby SPCA said to check back with Vancouver and themselves closer to the time and that it would be best if we could find the cat a home on our own, as it is 6 years old. They also mentioned that there's a lot of sickness at the branch right now.

The SPCA has been forced, kicking and screaming, threatening and bullying, blustering and b.s'ing, to join the 21st century
