You too sir are astute and I agree entirely with what you write. The anthropocentric thinking (if you can call it thinking) of meat eaters is truly the reason why billions of animals will die, except that with the seals none of them are actually next day's dinner.

These beautiful animals are just a politcian's scapegoat for the mismanagement of the cod fishing industry by both the Federal Government and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

No animal should die just to fill one's belly, and they certainly shouldn't die, just to have rot on an ice floe.
