Put the humans who are afraid of the animals in cages and set Helena free!
In Response To: Too risky to free cougar ()

So Helena can not be released because she is too dangerous.
Does this mean Helena was the only cougar in this area and there are no others around?
If there are, and I am sure there are, why would this cat be more dangerous than others?
Or have we killed off all cougars in areas where humans live?
How far out does the "No-Cougar-Zone" extend from human habitats ? One mile, five miles, ten miles ?? I hope cougars know this, whatever it is.
Else we'll just kill them, right??
So, now we are locking a highly sophisticated, free-ranging animal into a 25 ft. X 25 ft. cage.
What a wonderful humane gesture!
I think those of us, who are incapable of living with wildlife harmoniously, should be put in such a cage, where they could feel safe from all these "dangerous" animals.
Who gives us the right to cage or kill a totally innocent animal???

Too risky to free cougar
Put the humans who are afraid of the animals in cages and set Helena free!
Soon there will be no more dangerous species except ours
This article implies Helena's "rescuers" have not attempted relocation elsewhere
Well said!
