Lana Simon of PAF attended the Council meeting and extended an invitation to the Mayor and Councillors to visit our Feral Day Information Table at Lonsdale Civic Plaza today.

Today, Pacific Animal Foundation hosted an Information Table for the public and distributed materials on feral cats and a program called Trap/Neuter/Return or TNR. Lots of people stopped by to see our display board of feral cats and kittens and the North Shore Newspaper sent a photographer.

By providing truthful and useful information to our residents, we will be dispelling myths about feral cats. The public needs to know that a well researched and working humane solution called Trap/Neuter/Return ("TNR") exists as an alternative to the decades old entrenched animal control response of killing feral cats, a method that has been proven ineffective. TNR is gaining momentum because it works, is cost effective and compassionate.

Mayor Mussatto even stopped by our table to support our efforts and said he thought TNR was a wonderful program.

Killing ferals isn't effective and it's not animal welfare either! *LINK*
