Factual educational material about feral cats needs to be supplied to the general public, vets, etc...

Kudos to Vernon & District Animal Care Society for their wonderful work with the feral cats of the North Okanagan.

Those of us who practice Trap/Neuter/Return (or “TNR”) for feral cats already know it works effectively and humanely. However, TNR is only part of the equation to help feral cats in any community. Factual educational material about feral cats needs to be supplied to the general public, veterinarians and many of the municipal and animal control/welfare agencies which don’t know about or practice Trap/Neuter/Return.

Alley Cat Allies - www.alleycat.org - is the best source of information for both feral caregivers and animal welfare/control agencies. Please click the link below. Be sure to download and print this information to hand out to residents or businesses when trapping in their area or when meeting with public officials or animal control/welfare agencies about feral cats.

Advocating for feral cats and Trap/Neuter/Return is part of moving to a more humane agenda for these cats and providing a community with information on the most cost-effective, non-lethal method of control is essential to humanely reducing populations.

HELP EDUCATE THE PUBLIC - FIGHT FOR FERALS !
