Animal Advocates Watchdog

The media doesn't care about an animal abuse story unless it involves sensationalism

Debra, I agree with you and wish we could get her name out to the media ... but this is small-town Ontario and the dog was released to the very small-town SPCA and is now in quarantine in a kennel while the owner is scot-free - after all, the dog bit her, not the other way around, no matter how you and I and other animal advocates see it.

The media doesn't care about an animal abuse story unless it involves sensationalism ... I'm just grateful the idiot woman who owned the dog brought him to the SPCA and didn't shoot him ... he is now in quarantine in a kennel. I saw him yesterday and he is pretty angry towards women - but if the rescue folks who are involved can find a foster home with a man willing and able to rehab this boy, I'm willing to bet he can be saved. I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
