What Amanda has described is the ethic of a pet disposal business. And Amanda would now

We have said for quite some time that it is the only honest responsibility of real animal welfarists to help the ones that are hardest to help.

Why is the SPCA doing the job of pet disposal, culling out the hard ones by tests and killing, but selling the easy ones?

Anyone can rehome easy dogs and collect a "donation" for doing that. Where in the SPCA's mandate does it say that the SPCA ought to kill a dog rather than rehabilitate it?

This is a question that is central to the ethics of animal welfare, central to the business of animal welfare, and central to the law suit the SPCA is pursuing against AAS.

We allege (among other things) that the SPCA is not an animal welfare organization, that it is a pet disposal business.

What Amanda has described is the ethic of a pet disposal business. And Amanda would now.

I think it is the most important job of shelters and rescues to help with the dogs with the most issues as they are the ones that need the help
