Dear Mr. Oppal,

Can you justify the removal in 2001 of the anti-SLAPP legislation by
the BC Liberals?

When I heard about it, I just chalked it up to the Liberals being the
puppets of big business and industry.

Only by the public and individuals being able to openly question and
challenge government and industry can we have a truly democratic
society. SLAPP suits are the way the rich and powerful can oppress the
voices of dissent.

Prove you care about the people and justice and urgently reinstate
effective anti-SLAPP legislation.
