Don't blubber over beluga

When Tuvaq, the baby beluga, rolled over and died at the Vancouver Aquarium Sunday, animal lovers demanded that the aquarium stop importing and breeding marine animals and send those remaining back to the wild.
The whales aren't just there for the entertainment of the paying public. They're for the education of school children and the study of scientists. Tuvaq wasn't like a big whale requiring a lot of sea space. His small flippers and tail were just right for his pool.
He loved where he was and the kids who came to see him. His birth was a miracle that should be encouraged again.
