This really is awful. I just caught ten minutes of Oprah and it showed a man who had a dog for 14 years, and who would not get onto a bus as he was supposed to leave his dog behind. How could anyone just turn around and leave their pet behind to a certain and long death? I sure couldn't. Red Cross really needs to rethink it's policy.

By the way, Oprah's people took that dog in as well as 2 other dogs and reunited the dogs with their owners.
