Animal Advocates Watchdog

I knew you could, I knew you could *PIC*

I took time off work to be with her. She was so bored in her cage so I made a sling for her, strapped her onto my body and took her a walk every day outside with my two other cats following behind me. I felt like I was Queen of the Jungle. She accompanied me in her sling while I put my make-up on, did my housework, went to work and slept. When her little eyes looked at me, they seemed to be saying “Thanks Mom.”

The accident turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because once the two months were up, the leg that had the pin in it actually worked better than before, giving her more stability when she walked. It’s been a long road with Chiquita. She is almost one year old now and is as healthy as can be, and keeps my family laughing on a daily basis. So my little Chiquita Banana, here’s to a long life with you, and to the vet who said she would have no quality of life. I am so glad that I didn’t believe her. “I knew you could, I knew you could.”
