Any animal can be vicious - it's all in the training and upbringing

I Object !!!!!!

As a proud owner of a fine Italian Mastiff I have seen just what this breed is made of!

Living in a small town with many dogs I and my wife have found that "Ace" is a comfort to us. A great companion animal with an understanding and intelligence that is hard to match. Yes he is a large dog - 120lb - and yes he was a little hard to train but with a lot of love and patience he has become a very wonderful animal to be around.

I provide in home service and as such have been in many homes with small dogs - they scare the hell out of me - you never know when you might have one hanging off your leg or worse! In the over 20 years I have been going into peoples homes on a service call I have never had a large breed give me trouble - only the small dogs. The owners of those so called harmless animals seem to think that they can't do any real damage - WRONG!

Get your heads on right - it's the owner not the animal - proper training snd socializing is all that is required.

I also object to the AAS continuing the myth that all large dogs are vicious. Let's get it right! Any animal can be vicious - it's all in the training and upbringing - just like kids - do it right and you have minimal problems.
