How much was the legal bill for composing and/or vetting MLT's wordy nonsense? This expensive letter answers none of the concerns raised by the dedicated animal welfare workers who wrote to the BCSPCA about its action against AAS, BUT it does say a lot about the BCSPCA and its total inability to understand the motives behind all of our concerns. It seems that the BCSPCA is determined to believe that any and all criticism is an attempt to destroy the Society financially.
In my opinion, the BCSPCA administrators are desperately attempting to make AAS a scapegoat and thus to avoid taking responsibility for the financial difficulties and public relations messes the Society has brought upon itself. In military terms, this action would be called a diversionary tactic. It's a very effective way to deflect criticism from within the Society onto an enemy.
I think that this action has nothing to do with AAS and everything to do with the BCSPCA's own problems.
