People give their money to Societies that treat them with respect

In Victoria, the majority of people searching for help for an animal start with the SPCA. Many end up receiving help from other animal welfare societies such as Greater Victoria Animals' Crusaders.

From September 2005 to the end of January 2006 465 animals received help from GVAC.

A number of these grateful people also helped the animals by donating so that GVAC can continue to help the next animal that requires assistance.

As of February 2006 about 90 other organizations are competing with the BC SPCA for donations
No wonder the SPCA is struggling financially
This is why donations are going from the SPCA to the alternative organizations
Three estates switched from the SPCA to Forgotten Felines

I know my money is being spent on what I intended when I donate to other animal welfare/rescue groups
