Subject: Chinese Markets

Visiting Chinese markets both in Vancouver and Victoria is something any animal lover cannot do.
The animal abuse that abounds is startling and sickening.
While I would like to be able to expose my children to other cultures, even they as pre-teens realize purchasing anything in Chinatown is supporting animal abuse and as a family we choose to buy our goods elsewhere.
I hope you take this opportunity to do some education as to how wrong it is to treat any living creature without respect and dignity.

Victoria

If I can arrange a quaint "ethnic" bear-baiting contest would you like to come and check it out for the CBC?
I personally don't find it amusing to see any creatures suffering for the sake of "freshness" be it chickens, ducks or EVEN EELS
