This year's unwanted cats were produced by last year's unspayed cats

Most independent cat rescue organizations also have very active spay/neuter programs trying to head off the potential of another tragic season with the thought that those we spay will not produce kittens to place this summer.

I am looking forward to the day when the BC SPCA also has the same foresight and puts the effort in to ensure that the facilities they operate are also not full to bursting causing unnecessary euthanasias of adult cats.
