DELTA - The Surrey RCMP want help in finding the person responsible for fatally wounding a dog found on the Tsawwassen First Nation reserve last weekend.

The black Labrador-like dog was found by pedestrian on Sunday. Cpl. Roger Morrow said the pedestrian reported the dog was "suffering from a horrendous wound to its back and in obvious pain."

"The attending veterinarian advised that the wounds to the dog were in straight lines and appear to have been done by someone as opposed to something," Morrow said.

The dog, whose owners had reported it missing, was euthanized.

Anyone with information is asked to call 604-599-0502.

I have witnessed abuse so horrendous I don't think I can write about it
It may be racist to just ignore the reserves
