Let us not forget the lessons that Cheech taught us

I am so very sorry that Lucy has been killed. I know that those who loved Lucy tried everything that they could to save her and that AAS would have helped, as it has so many times before. The decision to kill Lucy is absolutely unacceptable to me. I wish that the circumstances were such that Lucy could had been given the gift of life as Cheech was. The story of Cheech is proof that saving the life of a dog condemned to be killed can be done. Significant time has passed since Cheech was saved. Let us not forget the lessons that Cheech taught us.
