Michelle holds her 10-year-old rottweiler, Maya, as Dr. Kam Brar examines the pooch at the second monthly street veterinary clinic at the Our Place street drop-in centre, 713 Johnson St. Maya was subsequently rushed to the emergency room to have a distension of her stomach operated on, resulting in the cancellation of the remainder of the free clinic. The clinic, which started this June, is set to run every month. It is organized by Carol Broad of www.victoriaadoptables.com.
