Thank goodness GVAC was holding its street clinic or Maya would have died an agonizing death by torsion (twisted gut). We have been told by knowledgeable vets that it is the most painful of all deaths. GVAC paid all the bills for Maya of course. GVAC's work is truly heroic and selfless. They don't do it for the P.R., they do it out of real compassion and animal welfare.
