If my mathematics are correct, doesn't the total percentage of gorilla fatalties add up to 72 percent? Considering of course how many gorillas are in captivity and judging by the Calgary Zoo/Jail's explanation of these percentages it would appear to me that there is the same number of them in captivity as there are in the wild. Why else would they make this comparison? Do they also plan to re-introduce these animals to the wild, justifying their reason for trying to breed them? I think not. Animals in Zoos are strictly for gawking humans who have nothing better to do. I suggest reading a book and leave the animals in the wild as nature intended. Better to die there than in a miserable jail.
