Mr Martin... next time ask, What can I do to help?

Attending university exposed me to people with different beliefs, cultures and values. I didn`t agree with everyone or everything, but being around such a diverse population taught me acceptance for people and ideas that were different from my own. It`s only been a few years, but apparently our hallowed halls of learning have changed.

John Martin, Criminologist at the University College of the Fraser Valley disagrees with the approach of some protestors and activists, but instead of appreciating the fact people are doing what they can to make a difference, he looks down on them and casts insults. I agree the actions of some people and groups seems strange, but I don`t make fun of them or their approach, at least not publicly.

Mr. Martin is obviously an educated and intelligent man, but his negativity isn`t helping anyone. The next time he speaks about the environment, activists or anything else that seems strange he should silence his insults and ask a simple question that will benefit everyone; what can I do to help?
