I showed the posting about AETA to a group that I belong to. They are known for their concern for civil liberties, peace, and social justice.

They were absolutly unfazed by the posting - because it was about animals, not people.

I agree completely with Barry Faires - if we can't speak for the animals, soon we will not be allowed to speak for our children, then, for ourselves - and no-one will speak on our behalf.
These are dark days indeed, when legislation like this even enters the Senate.
