Another example of why pulley lines or running lines still pose dangers to dogs! *PIC*

Another example of why pulley lines or running lines still pose dangers to dogs! And the photos were taken after I had already untangled the poor pup. I am certain in my mind that he would've strangled himself to death if I had not arrived at that time. It was a very close call. I unravelled the rope a few times and then stepped back to quickly take a few pics. Doing that just about broke my heart. Look at the shot of him hanging his head, as if to say: "You're not leaving me here like this, are you??!!"

And look at the pathetic shelter! He has "protection" under the steps, according to one of the owners. And a disgusting dirt bottom floor. I'm sure you can imagine the life this sweety was destined to receive from it's owners. He could've easily been roped like this for the next 15 years...if he survived that long.

Needless to say, the pup is no longer with the owners & living in those terrible conditions.
