I absolutely agree that animals don't belong in "show business."
Keep all non human animals out of the movie business, and you would eliminate this particular problem.
Dogs, cats, etc. etc. gain no benefit from their use in our entertainment.
We want it all - entertainment, and profits plus.
While animals are used in movies, there will be abuse.
I'd rather see legislation passed to keep animals out of the "entertainment industry" than legislation that may or may not improve their plight.
