In Feb. 2007 Big Heart Rescue received a call from Chilliwack Animal Control for help with a puppy suffering from severe mange and a deep laceration to her leg.

Our small non-profit organization took in this sweet soul and three months later her hair is growing back nicely, her energy level is increasing by the day and she has proven that small miracles happen every single day. How wonderful that Lady Bug's recovery was so fast as Cara is still bald over some of her body after three months of constant medical care.

Many small rescue groups take into their fold the most needy and the most abused yet our funding is minimal, our donor base is small but our hearts are dedicated to those who need us the most.
