The Toronto Zoo expressed an interest in the marmosets

I asked around my primate friends to see if they could offer any suggestions about the placement of the primates.

Hugh Nichol, the manager of the Surrey SPCA, where the animals are being housed, said it would be extremely difficult to find permanent homes for the primates because there are few, if any, appropriate facilities for them in Canada, and they may have to go to the U.S.

The Toronto Zoo expressed an interest in the marmosets, which would be great as there is so much excellent veterinary care available there. When I called the SPCA today, I was told that the animals would have to be kept for a long time, due to their poor condition and the possibility of future legal action. At least, it's good to know that there is a possible great future placement for some of the primates.
