I do believe the SPCA was criticized a few years ago for paying out in excess of $200,000 annually to its CEO, so I'm not too inclined to donate to 'support' his lifestyle.
And from reading other reports, there is history between this organization, the property owner and the SPCA, the raid may have just been a clash of egos. I certainly question the method -- a strong police presence - and why the SPCA didn't simply help out instead of staging a 'show', seizing the cats and issuing sensationalized statements. (Check out another SPCA report out of Quebec today that clearly spells out abuse -- small stacked cages, starving animals, no water, etc. In the FF case, they only discuss sick animals, and this is an organization that makes a point of rescuing sick animals).
