I've never been into a Canadian abattoir but I'm willing to bet it looks much like these pictures from the Faroes.

If you don't like these snapshots, glance down at your plate during this evening's dinner, barbecue or not. Smell that savoury odour and give a thought to those beings who went through the horrors to get to your table. And while you're at it, hopefully Fido and Fluffy are present, think about the Koreans who are giving thanks for the relatives of Fido and Fluffy who are gracing their plates. Etcetera!

A further aside: consider that the dolphins had a life of freedom before they faced the executioner. The flesh that graces your table was born and bred simply to face these horrors. Macabre?
