CALGARY ? An outrider horse at the Calgary Stampede with the Ray
Mitsuing chuckwagon team has died of an apparent heart attack.

Doug Fraser, Stampede spokesman, says the horse was in the washbarns
after the heat Friday night when it collapsed and died. A veterinarian
determined the horse died of a heart attack. It's the third chuckwagon
horse to die this year at the Stampede. Fraser said the animal was not
involved in any incident on the track during the heat, saying it was a
"clean" race.

On Thursday, a steer had to be put down after it suffered a spinal
injury during the steer wrestling competition.
