100 - 150 feral cats in danger of being poisoned in Port Moody

There are 100 - 150 feral cats in danger of being poisoned in Port Moody BC. Apparently the owners were offered spay/neuter assistance a year ago by some small cat rescue groups, but the owners refused, wanting to keep on selling kittens.

Private rescue groups and teams of volunteers are committed to trapping and spaying/neutering these animals, however, they need places to go.

Katie's Place and Happy Cat Haven are working together to trap, S/N, recue, transport and release, and other groups (Sara Society, Pacific Animal Foundation) have recently thrown their hat in the ring to either take some cats, to contribute towards their S/N or both. Many other groups have been contacted as well, and there are offers of volunteer assistance from municipal shelter employees as well. This is truly a group effort.

If anyone has a barn, or large property, or knows anyone who does, and who would be willing to feed, water and monitor 2, 3 or more of these animals, please advise ASAP. Every single spot matters as every single animal matters. Transport will be arranged to any place in BC.

If you would like to contribute towards the costs of vetting, your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
