Animal Advocates Watchdog

I am delighted to see that Leon Davis is posting on AAS

I am delighted to see that Leon Davis, an employe of the BC SPCA and manager of the Nanaimo shelter, is posting comments on the Animal Advocates Society WatchDog News, which is much feared and legally attacked by the SPCA for putting forward constructive criticism, when sometime it appears the SPCA is not exactly following its mandate.
I admire Leon for having the courage to open communication with AAS, who has, with it's website and in other ways, done more for animals in need, province-wide and beyond, than any other society, aside from the SPCA, I can think of.
Just one thing I wonder about.: We all know, domestic cats need human contact as much as their food, so why are the cats in the shelter cut off from the human touch ?
I believe the human contact is more than worth the risk of possible transfer of the odd germ.
I would like to see Leon's comment on this.

Kindly cat cuddle is now taboo at the Nanaimo SPCA. "The cats are crying and roaring behind the glass"
Do not pick up and cuddle your kids, either
