I just heard on Global news TV, that 5 members of the Toronto Humane Society have been arrested and charged for animal cruelty, the investigation was carried out by the police force and the OSPCA. This is a great start at exposing and charging staff and management who have become and are burnt out and sensitized...There are many backroom nasty little horrendous secrets that go on behind closed doors that would give you ptsd if you only knew...The employees who spoke up and out to expose these people should be commended, for they risked much...Undercover observation of shelters should be done across the board , right across Canada...I for one have seen firsthand what horrors go on behind closed doors, with the blessing of management... Unfortunately, I was unable to get photo or video proof, as well could not get employees to back me up...I lost my job, and received a lawyers letter...The board pres, vet and other members either covered up, or refused to believe me ...they saw me as just a story maker because I lost my job for reporting to management...They cover each others backs.

Unfortunately not many people would believe that such cruelty happens by people who are supposed to protect these animals .
