"The Cove" on Oprah today

Happy Earth Day!
In honor of Earth Day, Oprah has a show line-up focusing on our relationship with Mother Earth. Included is a segment with Louie Psihoyos and Fisher Stevens, who made "The Cove," and with Ric O'Barry, the Flipper trainer turned dolphin freedom advocate, who is featured in that film.

If you aren't a regular Oprah watcher, go to http://www.oprah.com/tows_listings.html to see when it is on your TV -- probably sometime in mid afternoon.

Most importantly, please thank Oprah, letting the producers know how much we appreciate this kind of coverage of animal and environmental issues. Shows take their feedback seriously. It is quick and easy and it matters to the animals. Go to:

If you haven't yet seen The Cove, you are missing out. Yes, it has a couple of gruesome minutes, for which you will want a soft or strong shoulder nearby where you can bury your head. But it won the Oscar, not because it is about an important topic (the documentary nominees all had that in common) but because it is so well done -- gripping, fast moving, sometimes hilarious, just a brilliant film. And it's on Netflix.
