I absolutely agree! I agree mainly because I am suspicious as to WHY the SPCA does not spay and neuter EVERY SINGLE one of their shelter animals. When I volunteered at VCP, they loaded up their dogs and took them to a vet clinic to get the dogs fixed, MEANWHILE the Vancouver SPCA, who had their own clinic right next door still sent out animals unfixed with those spay and neuter certificates. And never have I heard how many people didn't use those certificates and what happened to the money that the SPCA got to keep.

I am also suspicious when I have never seen the SPCA even attempt any control of breeding by laws.

And I'm suspicious when they start closing down puppy mills that have been around for years only when there has been public pressure.

It is not that I think the SPCA isn't doing a good job some of the time, or that there aren't people out there working hard....it is just that there are many suspicious things that I see going on at the SPCA. And it all makes me wonder....
