Crystal, because of you Kenny experienced the best that Bella Bella could offer him. You provided love, safety, health and companionship. He chose you to be his protector, his advisor and his friend. Not many of us are blessed in this life time to have been awarded such trust from another.

The road you travelled with Kenny by your side has made a huge impact on so many lives, both two and four legged. I have learned from you, sought your advice, your guidance and believed in you because of your struggle, devotion and dedication on behalf of those we share our world with.

Kenny has not died in vain, for his legacy of survival lives on. A legacy that you began when so many years ago you reached out to AAS for support and assistance in making a difference for the lives of animals in Bella Bella.

Kenny is your spirit guide and will always remain a focus for the work you continue to do.
Your efforts toward by-law changes, anti-tethering laws, education and advocacy will make a difference and has made a difference.

If it where not for you reaching out to AAS so many years ago, then we (Big Heart Rescue) would never have been able to share our lives with Sophie, Lilly, Caiiou, Bella, Lenny, Rudy, Copper, Brutus, and my precious Spirit. They have a second chance in life to know what a full tummy feels like, what a warm bed provides and what kind hand can give.

We continue to work on the foundation you built, to nurture the relationships you developed and to always keep the memory of Kenny close to us as we work on spay and neuter, education programs and medical interventions.

Through AAS, I do believe the goal of real animal welfare will one day be achieved and because of the Kennys in our lives, the drive and tenacity to see this through will not waver.
