There is nothing new in the story that the world's oceans are being swept bare; the warnings about factory fishing were out thirty years ago. The warnings about the decimation of fish stocks were out thirty years ago. Do you still eat fish?

The cruelty horror stories of factory farming were out thirty years ago. The warnings about environmental degradation caused by beef farming, and water being made poisonous by huge factory farms, especially pig farms, was out thirty years ago. The warnings about the massive use of homones and antibiotics to allow factory farming, which provides cheap meat, was out long ago. Do you still eat meat?

It is animal-eaters that are responsible for every last cruelty, every last extinction, every last assault on nature by farming and fishing, because if there is a buyer there will be a producer and seller. If there is a market, it will be filled. Without a consumer, there is no business. Everyone who buys meat is why someone is selling it.

And worse - the consumer demands cheap meat and yells if the price goes up. The only way to fill animal-eaters demands for lots of cheap meat is factory farming and factory fishing. There is no other way. But how many people buy free-range eggs and meat?

And when will mankind face the cause that is at the root of all the evil we are doing to our Earth? There are too many of us. Earth cannot support us anymore. We are like parasites, eating our host until it is dead. But parasites move on to another host. Earth is our host and there isn't another one.
