There seems to be an enormous discrepancy in what different employees of the SPCA are deemed to be worth. I know that the bosses of local shelters are frequently poorly paid, like around $35 000, as are many of those doing hands-on work with animals. They are certainly not haves. It seems that the $100 000 plus employees are from the central office. I wonder if they are all men. Women were about 85% of attendees at last years Homeless Cats conference in Seattle, but they were poorly represented among the leaders of groups. Maybe we need more women in decision making positions.
