I'm so happy to report that my vet has just changed her policy to vaccinate every 3 years. After reading up about titers, I requested them done on my two dogs. They showed good immunity, and thus we escaped the annual vaccination. Shortly after that, she announced the change in policy in her practise. Thank goodness for open, caring veterinarians, who listen to us. BTW, she also admitted that doing the annual vac. is their way of assuring people bring their animals in for check ups every year. Money-maker, or concern for the health of pets? Who knows.
